I’ll be honest, writing a song about introducing yourself is much harder than I expected it to be. Ive already figured out the key I want my song to be in (C), and im starting to have a vague sense of how I want the melody to go, but the lyrics are where I am getting a bit stuck. I want it to be catchy, with a chorus that everyone can sing together, but contrary to popular belief writing a hit song doesn’t just happen; bummer.
My goal is that the song doesn’t just have to be for me, but can be use for all the kids to share their name, but that is something I will focus on once the music is written. As of right now, my current chord pattern is C,G,Am, F – after practicing a bit I am now able to play all 4 chords together with the strumming pattern duduudu!
One other major challenge I am most definitely going to face is writing my song in formal music notes- Because I understand how to read them mostly, but writing my own feels like it will be a challenge.
