Free Inquiry Brainstorm

Phase 1 : Mood Board

As I was brainstorming what to do with this free inquiry project, I was contacted by a friend who was looking to find a home for some unused linen fabric and it clicked – I could use this opportunity to track my sewing progress during this new project!

Each and every one of my sewing projects begin with a moodboard:

Before starting to figure out what I want to make for my project, I decided to look through more pictures of my past creations, to both admire my work and growth but also note where I can improve. My areas of strength definitely lie within the creative brainstorming portion of projects, as small details put me in a frustrated space – moving forward in this project I want to prioritize the quality of what im making rather than the speed or quantity. I believe it is a collective experience for all artists to need to “finish” something to be proud of it, so knowing this is a rut I also fall into I am going to track my experience and progress without the pressure of a final product, but rather smaller victories that come along with the art of slow fashion.
